THE wet weather may not be over for Mandurah with a severe weather warning in place for today with rain, wind and high tides expected to hit about 3pm this afternoon.
Yesterday’s wet and windy conditions brought 25.8mm and gusts of up to 85km per hour to the area.
The rainfall brought May’s total to 51.8mm; already surpassing April’s total rainfall.
A lot more rain will still have to fall if Mandurah is to reach its May average of 123.3mm; a total that has not been reached since 2008.
Last years total rainfall for May was just 76.1mm.
Mandurah has experienced extreme weather condition of late with April recording Mandurah’s warmest average minium temperature on record at 13.7C
The average maximum temperature of 23.6C was the equal third warmest on record and the warmest since 1999.
