Paralympian Stuart Tripp will be the guest speaker at Central Grampians Local Learning and Employment Network s annual meeting.ARARAT – World traveller, author and 2012 Paralympian Stuart Tripp will address Central Grampians Local Learning and Employment Network’s annual meeting this month.
The Central Grampians LLEN is privileged to have Stuart Tripp speak at its annual general meeting to be held on Thursday May 16 at Pyrenees House, East Grampians Health Service, Ararat, commencing at 6pm.
For the last 14 years Stuart has been inspiring people with his presentations. Stuart has delivered over 400 talks and is in high demand as a motivational and keynote speaker.
Stuart is the author of ‘Travelling Hopefully’ and in September 2012, represented Australia in cycling at the 2012 London Paralympic Games. Prior to the Paralympics, Stuart travelled, trained and competed in Italy, France and Spain.
At 24 years of age Stuart, like other young people, was establishing his career; had enjoyed his first taste of world travel and was eager for more. However, Stuart’s life changed forever following a horrific car accident in 1994. This was the start of the road ahead for Stuart, enduring months of confinement, multiple operations, indescribable physical pain, emotional anguish and finally, the loss of his leg.
Drawing on every positive influence in his life, Stuart decided that the loss of his legs would not impact on the quality of his life. He visualised his future and planned action steps to get there.
Stuart is an excellent communicator who includes humour in his talks, encouraging people to laugh at life and themselves. Stuart gives everyone something to think about in their lives.
As one listener put it: ‘To appreciate how the power of positive thinking can overcome all obstacles, one needs to talk with Stuart Tripp for only a short while to be infected by his enthusiasm for life and his will to overcome adversity’.
Stuart’s inspirational talk and presentation is a not-to-be-missed event.
The annual general meeting is open for all members of the public to attend. The Central Grampians LLEN would especially like to invite young people and parents, teachers, members of the business community and anyone with an interest in furthering the educational and employment opportunities for our youth.
