THE Highlands will have access to the high-speed National Broadband Network as part of the latest roll-out announcement.
Moss Vale, Berrima, New Berrima, Bowral, East Bowral and Mittagong are included in the latest schedule of towns to receive NBN access by June 2016, with more than 1.35 million premises added to the three-year construction timetable.
This means 4.85 million premises will have construction commenced or will be able to order services by June 2016.
The only place in the Highlands that currently has NBN access is Renwick in Mittagong.
Throsby MP Stephen Jones said the announcement meant there would be “a decent footprint” of the high-speed broadband in the Highlands.
