BALLARAT Miners guard Anthony Fisher has been officially called up to the Australian Emus under-19 camp in Canberra from Sunday.
The three-day camp is an integral part of the Emus’ world championship preparations and selections.
Fisher returned last weekfrom a four nations tour of China, battling national teams from the United States, Lithuania and China.
He was is stellar form with a 37-point effort in Ballarat premier league action on the night he returned and formed a potent combination with Shaun Bruce and Kris Blicavs in the Ballarat Subaru Miners’ 17-point win against Brisbane in South East Australian Basketball League action on Saturday night.
The Emus will contest a pre-world championship tour of the Czech Republic and Lithuania from May 23-June 3 before a final team is chosen to contest the FIBA men’s under-19 world championships in the Czech Republic in late June.
