There seems to be a smartphone application for everything, even fighting crime.
A 46-year-old man will appear in court after being charged over an aggravated burglary in Melbourne’s western suburbs that occurred about 5am on Thursday.
Among the items stolen from the Maidstone property in Jackson Street was a smartphone.
Soon after the burglary, the victim led police to the alleged offender’s home after activating a “find my phone” application, a Victoria Police spokeswoman said.
The man was charged with aggravated burglary, attempted aggravated burglary, theft and theft from motor vehicle.
He is expected to face the Sunshine Magistrates’ Court on Thursday afternoon.
